Travel Healthcare Business Development Manager/Client Manager 

Job Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager / Client Manager with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the medical staffing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new client relationships, managing existing accounts, identifying staffing opportunities, and driving revenue growth within the healthcare staffing market.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of medical staffing, excellent communication and relationship-management skills, and a proven ability to develop business with hospitals, healthcare facilities, clinics, long-term care organizations, and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the healthcare and medical staffing market (Allied/Nursing/LTC) .
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, nursing facilities, clinics, and other healthcare organizations.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and other business-development activities.
  • Understand client staffing needs and develop appropriate recruitment and staffing solutions.
  • Conduct presentations, client meetings, and business reviews with prospective and existing clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, terms, and service agreements in coordination with company leadership.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and staffing opportunities.

Client & Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned healthcare clients.
  • Develop long-term partnerships and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Regularly communicate with clients regarding staffing needs, candidate availability, placements, performance, and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and increase business volume.
  • Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally while maintaining strong relationships.
  • Monitor client requirements, compliance standards, onboarding processes, and staffing schedules.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure successful placements and continued client engagement.

Staffing & Recruitment Coordination

  • Collaborate closely with recruiters and recruiting leadership to understand available candidates and fulfill client requirements.
  • Communicate job requirements, qualifications, shift details, pay rates, and facility expectations accurately to internal recruiting teams.
  • Track open staffing requests and ensure timely submission of qualified candidates.
  • Work with internal teams to address hiring, credentialing, onboarding, and placement challenges.
  • Stay informed about healthcare staffing trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in medical/healthcare staffing is required.
  • Proven experience in business development, client management, account management, sales, or healthcare staffing.
  • Strong understanding of the medical staffing industry and healthcare workforce environment.
  • Experience working with hospitals, healthcare facilities, nursing homes, clinics, or other healthcare organizations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and grow existing client accounts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, networking, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-up and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with recruiting and operations teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and other business-development tools.
  • In Omaha Office 5 days a week

Physical Requirements:

This is largely a sedentary role; requiring minimal physical functions including but not limited to walking, standing, sitting as deemed necessary. This position does require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to operate a computer, telephone, copier, and other office equipment.
