Job Title: Compliance Technician
Property Assignment: Burt Apartments, Central Park Tower and Woolworth
Job Location: Omaha, NE (Full-time in the office)
Salary Range: $24-$26 per hour
*CPO, COS, HCM-H - Knowledge in HUD housing a plus HCCP, TCS, SHCM - Knowledge in LIHTC housing a plus*
Job Summary
The Compliance Technician will complete household certifications in accordance with affordable housing program requirements, which may include conducting interviews with applicants and current residents. The Compliance Technician will also play a key role in household certifications for new and/or refinanced properties.
Essential Functions:Â
Certification Processing:Â
• Conducts interviews with new applicants and existing residentsÂ
• Generates accurate and complete resident certificationsÂ
• Enters household certification information into Yardi softwareÂ
• Meets program recertification deadlines as well as regularly meeting company certification benchmarksÂ
Other Responsibilities:Â
• Works closely with the Property Manager to ensure timely and accurate compliance activities Â
• Maintains compliance paperwork in the resident file
• Assists department with resolution of file audit issuesÂ
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisorÂ
Minimum RequirementsÂ
• Ability to manage multiple projectsÂ
• Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skillsÂ
• Strong attention to detailÂ
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsÂ
• One-year experience administering Federal subsidy housing programs preferredÂ
• One-year experience working in a property management field preferredÂ
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe & YardiÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ
• Ability to sit for up to 8 hours at a time.Â
• Ability to enter data into a computerÂ
• Ability to lift up to 10 poundsÂ
• Ability to complete large filing projectsÂ
