POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the Assistant Controller in overseeing the General Ledger. Oversee weekly audit of corporate stores. Maintain daily banking processes.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Stay current with the daily bank processing
  2. Oversee Audit of weekly corporate sales report for necessary supporting documentation and identify better processes 
  3. Prepare and post numerous journal entries for cost allocations and month end accruals
  4. Maintain up-to-date Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  5. Review monthly P&L's vs. budget.
  6. Assist with the annual financial audit and related workpapers
  7. Provide Information to the Controller as needed
  8. Update marketing COOP Financials and Reports
  9. Prepare and review weekly ‘flash’ reports to identify and communicate areas of concern to management team 
  10. Communicate with co-workers, management, and restaurant employees in a courteous and professional manner
  11. Conform to and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions 
  12. Other duties as assigned that may include: cash, A/R collections, credit cards, gift cards, and other ad hoc projects
  13. Adapt to all potential changes within the functions above
  14. Continuously learn and look for new, more efficient, ways of doing things
  15. Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Public Accounting experience welcomed 
  • 2-3 years of Accounting experience
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organize and assimilate data from multiple data sources and the ability to turn data into insights
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP desired
  • General ledger experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerBI, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with Accounting Software
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing technology
