Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Pacific Neuropsychiatric Specialists (PNS) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing team. We are a community-focused, outpatient mental health group serving diverse and underserved populations. We take pride in providing accessible, high-quality mental health care to the community where teamwork and patient-centered care are at the core of everything we do. Our interdisciplinary team includes Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Therapists, all committed to helping patients achieve meaningful and lasting improvement in their lives. In addition, we have evidence-based interventional psychiatry modalities and conduct extensive clinical and pharmaceutical research. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychiatrist who values teamwork, integrated care, and public service.

About the Role
The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients through evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning. Working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, you will help patients access the resources and support they need to improve mental health and overall well-being. Serving as a key leader of the clinical office, you will also play a key role in community-based care, collaborating with local agencies, treatment centers, and families to ensure patients receive holistic support. There will be potential opportunities to participate in clinical research or value-based care services depending on the candidate’s interests and experience.

Location: Orange, CA (minimum 3 days in-office, up to 2 days remote)
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities
● Conduct psychiatric evaluations (in-person and via telehealth).
● Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
● Develop individualized, integrated treatment plans with the care team.
● Supervise and collaborate with interdisciplinary providers (MDs, NPs, PAs, therapists).
● Opportunities to participate in interventional psychiatry service and clinical research pipelines.
● Participate in crisis intervention and emergency care as needed.
● Engage with community agencies and resources to support patient care.
● Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment, and wellness practices.
● Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory standards.

Qualifications
● Current and valid California medical license, NPI, and DEA registration
● Sub specialization/experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
● Board Certification (strongly preferred) or Board Eligible with board certification within 1 year
● Supervise mid-level providers; supervision experience preferred
● Minimum 2 years of independent psychiatric experience preferred
● No disciplinary actions or restrictions on licensure
● Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery principles, and integrated clinical approach for adult and pediatric psychiatry
● Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate in a team environment
