- Interviews, screens, and refers applicants for employment or for volunteer placement;Â
- Conducts new employee orientation and/or other employee training;Â
- Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods;Â
- Coordinates Employee Assistance Program services and seminars;Â
- Assists in researching and analyzing existing policies, practices and procedures and preparing recommendations;
- Interprets personnel policies and procedures;Â
- Provides technical assistance and advice to department supervisors, representatives and employees on a variety of personnel management issues;Â
- Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation on county benefits;Â
- Processes benefit changes, handles benefit inquiries and benefits administration;Â
- Coordinates wellness programs;Â
- Processes all personnel action forms related to salary changes;Â
- Processes deferred compensation paperwork and answers inquiries;Â
- Coordinates interview process, approves interview questions, and approves interview panel members;Â
- Coordinates arrangements for pre-employment testing/certification;Â
- Reviews job and class specifications and makes revisions as required;Â
- Assists employees with retirement, termination and related matters; andÂ
- Responds to salary and benefit surveys.
