RCM Refund Specialist

Overview

Western Dental Services, Inc., California’s largest dental services provider and one of the nation’s largest dental HMO’s, is looking for a bright, motivated, individual.  This position requires at least 2 years of professional experience to join Western’s team.  Western Dental’s team consists of over 4,400 professionals and nonclinical employees at Western’s corporate headquarters in Orange, California and more than 300 dental clinic locations.

The Refund Processor will conduct account financial audits and process refunds on a daily basis to patients via Check and/or Credit Card. Refund Processor reports to his/her supervisor with any issues and decisions that need to be made when processing a refund.

Major Accountabilities

• Initial account audit and/or second review audit
• Adjust accounts receivable balance
• Verify payments received with our Accounting Department
• Follow up on outstanding refund requests
• Special Projects for refund and transfers
• Finalize paperwork that is submitted to our Accounting Department
• Answer phones to help patients with questions concerning the refund

Qualifications

Experience Requirement

• Dental Knowledge/background
• 2 years Of Data Entry
• HS or GED Diploma

Necessary Skills Sets

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Knowledge of 10 key by adding machine and PC
