About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-kept environment at our church in Orlando, FL. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve your community and play an essential role in creating a space where people feel comfortable and inspired. Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain all church facilities, including sanctuaries, classrooms, offices, and restrooms
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors throughout the building
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, furniture, pews, and fixtures
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper in restrooms and common areas
- Remove trash and recycling from all areas and transport to designated disposal sites
- Prepare and clean facilities before and after events, services, and gatherings
- Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to management
Requirements:
- Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with a professional demeanor
- Respectful of a faith-based environment and diverse congregation
- Flexible availability, including weekends or event-based scheduling as needed
