Position Summary

Collaborates with school partners and stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and implement the placement of students, with a primary focus on nursing programs.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions

Provides guidance and support to team members, students, and faculty to optimize the Orlando Health Student experience.
Consults with students, team members, and faculty to ensure alignment of all scholarly activities with organizational goals.
Synthesizes organizational strategy and goals to prioritize and plan for Student Services.
Partners with Orlando Health departments to coordinate student placements for internships, clinical rotations, or practicums.
Develops clinical rotation schedules for students and faculty.
Facilitates the presentation of Orlando Health Orientation to student groups in collaboration with school partners.
Orients new faculty and school liaisons to Orlando Health processes.
Maintains a database containing student placement information.
Prepares necessary data for submission to Community Benefits.
Maintains records of students and faculty involved in scholarly activities at Orlando Health, ensuring all necessary forms are completed and regulatory requirements are met by schools.
Solicits feedback from students, academic institutions, and Orlando Health departments to inform future planning and process improvement.
Participates in complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for Student Services
Partners with Talent Acquisition and other Orlando Health departments to identify the need for additional school affiliations based on current and projected workforce vacancies.
Analyzes and modifies current student services processes based on a review of industry practices and academic programs.
Collaborates with department leadership for the management and completion of team or special projects.
Participates in identified student recruitment opportunities.
Develops and presents reports on student activities at Orlando Health.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Other Related Functions

Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues and compliance with standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Communicates regularly with affiliated schools.
Serves as a liaison and informal consultant to Orlando Health departments and affiliated schools regarding student issues.
Serves on School Advisory Boards and Educational Committees as requested.
Participates in process improvement activities as assigned.
Serves as preceptor for Student Coordinator, Allied Health.


Qualifications

Education/Training

Associate degree in Nursing is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Maintains current State of Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.

Ā 

Experience

Two (2) years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
