The Store Associate supports the day-to-day operations of Adoray鈥檚 Treasures from the Heart Store by assisting customers, accepting donations, sorting and pricing donated goods, stocking the sales floor, and helping create a welcoming shopping experience. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, friendly, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail setting where every day brings something different.

Requirements
聽Minimum Qualifications
路 High School Diploma or GED
路 One-year experience in working in a retail or second-hand store preferred.
路 Excellent communication skills.
路 Ability to work autonomously and make independent judgments.
路 Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

路 Ensures consistent implementation of store policies as directed by the store manager, and assistant manager.
路 Strictly maintains professional boundaries in all customer situations and adheres to Treasures from the Heart Standards of Conduct and mission.
路 Takes the initiative to identify problems, find solutions and follow through on solutions in a timely manner as appropriate.
路 Serves as an "ambassador" to the communities we serve regarding the store and its fund-raising purpose, tying it back to Adoray Home Health and Hospice's programs and mission.
路 Respects the individuality and wishes of others by such actions as extending a warm welcome, introducing self, making eye contact, addressing people by the name they prefer, and/or by honoring cultural differences.
Physical Requirements
Job involves standing more than four hours per day; stooping, bending, lifting/pushing up to 50 lbs. etc. are regularly required.
Visual acuity of 20/20 with or without correction.
Work Environment Conditions
Work involves moderate risks or discomforts that require special safety precaution such as safe lifting procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
路 Assists with general operations of the store, taking direction from the store manager, and if applicable assistant manager.
路 Assist customers in locating and/or selecting merchandise聽
路 Process customer sale transactions using cash register, bag merchandise, and thank the customer.
路 Accurately conduct sales transactions and maintain cash and credit card control by following proper procedures regarding voids, refunds, checks, credit cards, etc.聽
路 Give excellent customer service and remain calm and professional under stressful situations聽
路 Maintain the sales floor and inventory in a clean, neat and properly displayed manner聽
路 Provides superior customer service to customers, uses cash register, and accepts donations.
路 Establishes and ensures consistent implementation of store policies including but not limited to the condition and type of inventory accepted; pricing strategies; consignment guidelines; return policy, etc.
路 Providing donors with a receipt for merchandise, ensuring all applicable Federal and State tax regulations are followed.
路 Other duties as assigned
