JOB TITLE: Stock Lead


DEPARTMENT: Materials


REPORTS TO: Materials Manager


LOCATION: Oscoda, MI

POSITION DESCRIPTION: 

  • Leads the team in completing assigned tasks during the designated shift, ensuring efficiency and adherence to operational standards.
  • Oversees the daily receipt and inspection of all incoming materials to ensure timely completion in accordance with the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • Ensures daily physical stock replenishment is carried out with real-time updates to the inventory database.
  • Trains Stock Clerks on proper procedures for all relevant tasks, including—but not limited to—shipping, receiving, storing, labeling, shelf-life compliance, and handling in accordance with Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR).
  • Monitors the unserviceable parts to ensure accuracy and timely reporting to the Repairs department.
  • Ensuring all parts transfer and shipping requests are being worked during assigned shift and followed throughout the day to completion.
  • Ensure all uncompleted tasks that require to be turned over is documented and conveyed verbally and in e-mail form.
  • Work with Stores personnel to ensure parts required by maintenance is provided promptly to support the maintenance teams.
  • Ensures all required reports—such as Shelf Life Expiry reports and audit follow-ups—are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Reviews all tasks performed by Stock Clerks to identify areas for improvement and provide necessary guidance or corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Materials Management. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. 

Aviation experience preferred w/ background in navigating and using Inventory Management databases. Microsoft Office experience is required, including Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficient communication skills is a must.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to create / write routine reports and correspondence.
