Under the direct supervision of a designated member of the management team, assists customer needs and participates in the clerical responsibilities of the College Store.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for customer satisfaction by being attentive to customer needs, establishing positive communication and, when necessary, intervening in customer issues.
2. Responsible for operation of a cash register within established procedures.
3. Utilizing established guidelines, will assist in checking in, pricing, shelving and, when necessary, the return of merchandise to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
4. Assist in the maintenance of inventory control records using manual and computerized systems.
5. Assist in satisfying unique customer needs by processing special orders.
6. All College Store employees should be alert to and active in loss prevention.
7. May be responsible for entry of invoices, freight bills, credit memos and charge backs in departmental ledgers.
Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Demonstrated ability with MS excel and word and 30 wpm processing ability.
3. One (1) year cashier experience and one (1) year direct customer contact.
4. Â Ability to lift 50 pounds.
