About the Role:
As a Manager, Investment Accounting – Accounting Operations, you’ll be an integral part of a collaborative, agile team. You’ll design, analyze, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and exceed expectations.

 

The Manager, Accounting Operations position reports to the Senior Manager, and can be based out of Overland Park, Kansas, or remotely for the right candidate. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

  • Lead day-to-day investment ledger operations, including close management, reconciliation approvals, and oversight of key operational workflows across the Eldridge platform.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, including trial balance review, post-close income entries, GL feed management, and workbook completion.
  • Manage cash and reconciliation activities, including weekly wire scrubs, entity-level recons, and subledger to GL tie-outs.
  • Direct consolidation tagging, journal entries, and entity and account setup processes.
  • Oversee investment-level analysis, including income, RGL, holdings, carry value reviews, and entity ownership updates.
  • Maintain and improve operational bot infrastructure, workbook frameworks, and process documentation to support scalability and reduce key-person risk.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage a team of operations accountants; set priorities, review work product, and support professional development.
  • Lead and participate in special projects, including new investment onboarding, restructuring support, and process redesign initiatives.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 8+ years of investment or corporate accounting experience.
  • CPA preferred or actively in process.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of investment ledger operations and ERP systems (PeopleSoft and PAM preferred).
  • Experience with automation tools and data workflows a plus.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (advanced Excel required).
