Position Overview

Frenchman's Creek Beach & Country Club is seeking an energetic, passionate, and service-oriented Pickleball Professional to join our Racquet Sports Team as an independent contractor beginning in October.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of one of South Florida's premier private clubs as we launch and grow our brand-new 10-court pickleball facility within a state-of-the-art racquets complex. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about pickleball instruction, player development, and building a vibrant pickleball community.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience teaching pickleball lessons and clinics, organizing and leading team practices, developing competitive players, and creating engaging programming for members of all skill levels. While this position is primarily focused on pickleball, the successful candidate should also be capable of teaching tennis lessons and clinics as needed.

Frenchman's Creek Beach & Country Club is an exclusive private club located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The club recently completed a major transformation of its racquet sports facilities, featuring:

• 10 brand-new pickleball courts
• 10 Har-Tru tennis courts
• 6 creek ball courts
• New Racquet Shop and member amenities
• Growing competitive tennis and pickleball team programs
• Active social, instructional, and competitive programming

The club is committed to delivering a first-class racquet sports experience while fostering a welcoming, fun, and engaging environment for members and guests.

Essential Responsibilities

Pickleball Instruction & Coaching

• Provide high-quality private, semi-private, and group pickleball lessons.
• Lead beginner, intermediate, and advanced pickleball clinics.
• Develop instructional programs that improve player technique, strategy, court positioning, and match-play skills.
• Conduct pickleball drills, skills assessments, and player evaluations.
• Build relationships with members and help them achieve their pickleball goals.

Competitive Team Development

• Lead and organize pickleball team clinics and practices.
• Assist with the development and growth of women's, men's, and mixed pickleball teams.
• Help create lineups, partnerships, and team strategies.
• Coach players in competitive match situations and foster a strong team culture.
• Work closely with management to elevate Frenchman's Creek's competitive pickleball presence within local leagues.

Program Development & Events

• Assist in growing the pickleball program through innovative clinics, leagues, tournaments, round robins, mixers, and social events.
• Help organize and conduct club championships and special pickleball events.
• Promote member participation and engagement through creative programming.

Tennis Support

• Teach tennis lessons and clinics as needed.
• Assist with tennis events and instructional programming.
• Support overall racquet sports operations during peak periods.

Member Engagement

• Deliver exceptional member service and create memorable experiences.
• Actively engage with members both on and off the courts.
• Foster a welcoming, energetic, and inclusive environment.
• Promote participation in lessons, clinics, leagues, and social events.

Club Operations

• Assist with daily racquet sports operations as needed.
• Support holiday events and special club functions.
• Work collaboratively with the Racquet Sports Team to ensure exceptional service standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Current RSPA Pickleball Certification (or equivalent nationally recognized certification)
• Strong pickleball teaching and coaching background
• Experience leading pickleball clinics, instructional programs, and group training sessions
• Experience organizing and conducting pickleball team clinics and practices
• Strong understanding of doubles strategy, team development, and competitive play
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to thrive in a private club environment

Preferred

• RSPA Tennis Certification
• Previous private club experience
• Experience building and growing pickleball programs
• Experience organizing leagues, tournaments, and social events
• Knowledge of competitive tennis team formats
• Strong tennis teaching background

Schedule Requirements

Candidates must be available to:

• Work full-time during the season (October through May)
• Begin employment in early October
• Work weekends as required
• Work during major holiday periods, including:
  • Thanksgiving Week
  • Christmas Week
  • New Year's Week
  • Other peak member usage periods

Flexibility is essential, as holiday weeks and special events represent some of the busiest and most important times of the season.
