Lead the Team. Repair the Equipment. Keep the Plant Running.
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Plant Foreman to lead our night-shift operation at our rock and sand mining facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mining professional who enjoys leading a crew, working on equipment, troubleshooting problems, and taking pride in keeping a plant operating safely and efficiently.
As Plant Foreman, you will play a key role in production, equipment maintenance and repairs, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will lead your crew while also working hands-on to diagnose problems and perform repairs to keep the plant running and minimize downtime.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and supervise the night-shift crew, assigning work and ensuring production goals are met.
- Plan and organize daily work schedules to maintain efficient production.
- Perform hands-on mechanical repairs and maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, motors, pumps, and other plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems, determine the cause of breakdowns, and make necessary repairs to keep the plant operating.
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to identify problems before they result in costly downtime.
- Train, coach, and develop employees while promoting a positive, professional, team-oriented work environment.
- Lead by example and ensure employees follow all company, MSHA, and applicable safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address safety hazards and environmental concerns.
- Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and employee records.
- Work closely with sales and logistics to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Help keep the operation running safely, efficiently, and productively throughout the shift.
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in a mining environment.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably as a Plant Foreman, Lead, or similar position.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated experience repairing and maintaining heavy plant equipment.
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment and diagnosing equipment problems.
- Some electrical knowledge or experience.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety and the ability to enforce safety standards.
- Ability to remain calm, make sound decisions, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and build productive working relationships with employees.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to take initiative.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.

Night Shift
This is a night-shift leadership position, with typical hours approximately 2:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., subject to operational needs. The ability to work extended hours when needed is required.
Working Conditions
This is an active mining and aggregate production environment. The position requires working outdoors and exposure to:
- Extreme heat and cold
- High levels of noise
- Dust and changing weather conditions
- Active plant and mobile equipment
All required personal protective equipment must be worn while on site.
Physical Requirements
The position requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Crouch, bend, and work around equipment
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work safely around operating machinery
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination
- Perform physically demanding tasks in a variety of weather conditions
