Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Performing monthly closing, journal entries and reconciliations
- Work closely with managers to prepare budgets and assist in monthly variance analysis
- Reconcile general ledger account activity
- Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and help managers with quarterly inventory counts at various locations
- Assist in any additional projects and general accounting task as needed
Job Requirements
- Candidate must have an Accounting Degree
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications
- Verifiable experience in analyzing data and communicating results in an organized fashion
- Experience with SAP, Jonas and Quickbooks a plus
Essential Job Function
- Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate accounting processes
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, managers and customers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a group environment
- Flexible work schedule
- Must communicate well and ask questions
