Job DetailsJob Location: Cleveland Freightliner - Parma, OH 44130Mobile Service Technician Freightliner | Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) Position Summary The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and customer support for Freightliner and DTNA commercial vehicles. This role serves as a key field resource for customers by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, responding to roadside service needs, and ensuring maximum vehicle uptime. The technician operates a fully equipped mobile service vehicle and delivers exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform mobile diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on Freightliner and DTNA commercial trucks, engines, and related systems. Respond to roadside service calls and customer locations to diagnose and resolve technical issues. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, brake systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, steering, suspension, drivetrain, and hydraulic components. Conduct DOT inspections, preventative maintenance services, and warranty repairs. Complete recall campaigns, service bulletins, and product updates as assigned. Utilize diagnostic software and electronic service tools to identify and resolve vehicle concerns. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, inspection reports, and customer documentation. Communicate repair recommendations and vehicle status updates to customers and management. Ensure all repairs are completed according to DTNA, Freightliner, and OEM standards. Maintain inventory, tools, and cleanliness of the mobile service vehicle. Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and industry best practices. Provide technical support and training assistance to customers when needed. Participate in emergency and after-hours service support as required.
