POSITION SUMMARY:
The Personal Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality fitness services, including one-on-one and small group training sessions. Trainers will engage members through personalized fitness programming, evaluate client fitness levels and goals, design customized programs, and monitor client progress. The Personal Trainer fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment that supports members in achieving their wellness goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Build meaningful relationships through positive, solution-focused interactions.

Conduct fitness assessments to evaluate client needs, goals, and abilities.

Design individualized and group fitness programs based on client assessments.

Lead fitquest consultations and session appointments

Responsible for managing clientele

Responsible for selling training packages and building their client books

Monitor, adjust, and document client progress regularly.

Promote wellness concepts that encourage a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Maintain national certification in personal training and required continuing education credits.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout environment; regularly inspect and report equipment concerns.

Demonstrate sensitivity, patience, and encouragement when working with a diverse membership base.

Respond professionally to member concerns, conflicts, and facility challenges, escalating issues as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Current national personal training certification (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA) required.

Current CPR/AED certification required.
-
Experience leading group fitness classes or bootcamps preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Ability to work with individuals of all fitness levels, ages, and backgrounds.

Ability to create and adapt fitness programs based on client assessments and evolving needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-
Will be required to walk, stand, kneel, stoop, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.

While performing duties, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions and is exposed to wet, cold, and /or humid conditions.

Continuous operations requiring attention to detail and multitasking.

Will be exposed to cleaning supplies.

Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
-
Must be physically able to successfully complete required certifications.
An offer of employment is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory results to meet minimum requirements for the position. They may include a background check, drug test, driver’s license record, CPS, and/or Criminal Background check. Â
Additional driver’s license check, CPS, Criminal Background check, alcohol and/or drug testing may be required to be processed in the future in order to meet and maintain the minimum requirements of this position.
Pay: $20.00/hour base rate plus commission for personal training sessions. At the entry commission tier, session earnings may range from approximately $24.15–$39.20/hour, depending on package and session type. Actual earnings will vary based on the number and type of sessions performed.
