The Starbucks Barista is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Baristas create a welcoming environment by building positive customer connections, maintaining store cleanliness, and upholding Starbucks standards of quality, safety, and service.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, and food items according to Starbucks standards
Provide friendly, prompt, and professional customer service
Accurately operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash transactions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including workstations and customer areas
Follow food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
Restock supplies and assist with inventory control
Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth store operations
Must be flexible to work all shifts, AM, mid, and PM
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Customer service or food service experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with beverage preparation
