ABOUT THE ROLE:

Front Office Admin provide initial contact between the patient and the office. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care through scheduling, registration, file maintenance and billing procedures.


FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: 

  • Answers the telephone.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Directs calls to appropriate staff.
  • Provides appropriate information as needed.
  • Directs customers to appropriate staff.
  • Registers patients.
  • Enters or updates patient information in computer.


SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior office experience preferably in a medical setting.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills.
  • Basic medical terminology preferred.
