EQUIPMENT OPERATOR OPPORTUNITY AT BAY COLONY GOLF CLUB

SUMMARY:

Performs golf course maintenance and construction project work.

HOURS/DAYS:

Full Time. Hours and days fluctuate according to the needs of the golf course and golf club grounds. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate equipment including greens mowers and tee mowers for mowing, rolling and v-cutting
• Operate hand edging equipment
• Operate utility vehicles for transporting equipment on course
• Plant and weed ornamental beds
• Keep all areas including shop and equipment clean
• Follow all safety rules and procedures

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Field experience in a similar capacity preferred. Experience on a golf course is a plus. Required knowledge of procedures, safety rules, tools, methods, and materials used for golf course maintenance and construction. Safe operation and servicing of tractors and mowers.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid State Driver's License.

The position requires work performed in indoor and outdoor environments. Exposure to variable and adverse weather conditions. Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, fumes, airborne particles, grease, oil, and chemicals. Active, physical work involving heavy lifting (+50 pounds); carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking long distances, driving and operating equipment for extended periods of time. Requires focus adjustment, depth perception, clear close and distant vision. Use of ear protection, eye protection and other safety equipment.
