Job description: Assistant General Manager – Kids Fitness & Youth Programs

Base Pay: $55,000–$60,000 per year + quarterly and milestone bonuses
Total Compensation Potential: $65,000–$80,000+ per year | Full-time

Job Summary

KidStrong Pembroke Pines is seeking an energetic, hands-on General Manager to lead our kids’ fitness center across sales, operations, team development, and member experience. The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years of experience in leadership, management, sales, customer service, operations, coaching, or a related field and enjoys working with children, families, and teams.

Qualifications - General Manager (Kids Fitness & Youth Programs)

  • 1–3+ years of leadership or management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in sales, customer service, membership growth, or business operations
  • Ability to lead, coach, motivate, and hold a team accountable
  • Experience working with children, fitness, education, athletics, or coaching is preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
  • Ability to work the required 5-day schedule, including 1 weekend day
  • Ability to remain active throughout the day, demonstrate physical activities, and lift up to 50 pounds when needed
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred; can be obtained after hire
Responsibilities - General Manager (Kids Fitness & Youth Programs)

  • Lead and execute a 16-week pre-opening presale campaign, building local awareness, generating leads, and securing founding memberships before launch.
  • Lead daily center operations, team performance, and the overall member experience
  • Lead, coach, develop, and hold team members accountable while recruiting, hiring, and training as needed
  • Drive membership sales by engaging prospective members, conducting tours, following up with leads, and building relationships with families
  • Own membership growth, retention, customer satisfaction, and overall center performance
  • Manage staffing and class schedules based on center needs and demand
  • Build community partnerships and support local marketing and outreach efforts
  • Coach approximately 2–5 classes per week and model the KidStrong experience
  • Maintain high standards for program quality, safety, cleanliness, and brand consistency
  • Create an energetic, welcoming culture for kids, families, and staff
  • Step in wherever needed to support the team and successful operation of the center
Schedule

  • 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
  • 2 weekdays: ~8:30 AM–4:30 PM
  • 2 weekdays: ~11:30 AM–7:30 PM
  • 1 weekend day: ~8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Weekend day will be Saturday or Sunday based on the center’s needs
