Expected pay for this position is $21.93 - $25.80/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.


Overview

This position will be offering support at the OSF Illinois Neurogical Institute (INI) in Peoria, IL

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) generates important preliminary information to be used by the ophthalmologist; reviews patient status and performs medical tests. The COA assists with the documentation and education for patients seen by the Ophthalmologist.


Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED

 

Other Licenses/Certifications: ​Active Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) must be certified through the IJCAHPO within 2 years of hire.

 

Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
