Position Summary

The Technical Assistant supports the technical team in keeping arcade games and attractions clean, stocked, operational, and ready for guests. This is an entry-level technical role designed for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and is interested in developing their technical skills.

Working alongside Technicians and the Technical Manager, the Technical Assistant performs routine game upkeep, assists with preventive maintenance and basic repairs, and helps identify and communicate equipment issues to minimize downtime and keep the fun running.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of arcade games, attractions, and technical work areas.
  • Assist Technicians with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment inspections.
  • Identify game or equipment issues and promptly communicate them to the Technician or Technical Manager.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs within assigned level of training.
  • Keep ticket stations, card readers, redemption equipment, and other arcade equipment stocked and functioning properly.
  • Assist with loading tickets, replacing basic components, and completing other routine game maintenance.
  • Support game installations, moves, setups, and equipment changes as needed.
  • Help maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and technical supplies.
  • Assist guests experiencing game issues and help get them back to the fun quickly and professionally.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe technical and arcade areas.
  • Follow all company security procedures related to equipment, company assets, and arcade operations.
  • Follow all company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Participate in technical training and development to build troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance skills.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.



Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous mechanical, electrical, arcade, maintenance, or technical experience is a plus but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Comfortable working with basic hand tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to provide friendly and professional service to guests.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
