Role description: 

The Mold Maker Journeyman repairs Mold equipment using a variety of tools. This role welds, files, grinds, vents, and polishes the Molds. This role involved letter cutting, lathe work, and millwork. 

 

Compensation and Schedule: 

$40.74 Hourly Rate

Responsibilities: 

  • Weld, grind, file, and polish mold equipment 
  • Grind lathe tools and do lathe work as required 
  • Run surface grinder when reducing mold equipment 
  • Use welding torches and gauges 
  • Repair mold equipment using milling machines 
  • Inspect mold equipment 

 

Minimum skills / qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment 
  • Tool and Die experience 
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours 
  • Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds 

 

Preferred skills / qualifications:  

  • Technical school degree or equivalent 
  • Journeyman Card or equivalent experience 
  • Stable work history with no gaps in employment
