Director of Enterprise Applications
Location: Pewaukee, WI (Hybrid)

Core responsibilities
Boelter is seeking a disciplined, partner-minded Director of Enterprise Applications who owns the design, standardization, and continuous improvement of the core business processes that run Boelter — order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and warehouse operations — and delivers measurable operational and financial outcomes. This leadership role delivers operational improvements and owns the improvement of Boelter’s business application portfolio including SAP S/4HANA at the core, with warehouse (WMS) and transportation management(TMS), procurement tax, pricing, and EDI surrounding it, and drives improvements to ERP and master data infrastructure. The role also owns how AI shows up in these processes, including agentic and embedded AI within SAP, intelligent document and order processing, and AI-assisted master data quality, deciding where
intelligent automation replaces manual work and where it does not. The role leads the ERP
turnaround from stabilization through continuous improvement, establishes the governance that makes the ERP and its master data trustworthy, and partners with Operations, Supply Chain Finance, and Functional Business Leaders to convert their requirements into scalable enterprise capabilities.

Key accountabilities
•  Business partnership. Serve as the trusted bridge between Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and the application portfolio, translating business needs into requirements and delivering outcomes owned jointly with those leaders.

•  Supply chain process alignment. Bring deep order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and warehouse process fluency, and evolve the ERP and its master data to serve operational outcomes. Demonstrable improvements include inventory accuracy, touchless order flow, cost-to-serve, and working capital.

•  ERP strategy and roadmap. Set and execute the enterprise application strategy and multi-year roadmap for S/4HANA and the surrounding portfolio (WMS, TMS, MRP tax, pricing, master data, EDI), aligned to Boelter’s growth and productivity objectives and sequenced against the business’s capacity to absorb change.

•  SAP improvement program leadership. Direct the SAP program with internal and third-party delivery partners, including stabilization, releases, and upgrades. Delivers on time and on budget with real adoption. Lead platform improvements to achieve a more stable, continuously improving core. Evaluates and leads the adoption of a disparate projects business into the ERP.

•  ERP governance and controls. Own how the ERP is managed: release, change, and incident management standards; environment and configuration discipline; segregation-of-duties and ITGC-aligned controls; and a governed intake that converts business demand into one prioritized backlog.

•  Master data improvements. Partner with Operations and Master Data to drive continuous improvements to the structure and quality of ERP master data, including customer, vendor, material, and pricing domains. This improvement including remediation and sustainable post-go-live governance operated with Operations and Finance, with quality measurement in partnership with Data, AI & Analytics.
•  AI and intelligent automation. Own the AI agenda for enterprise applications: identify where agentic and embedded AI, intelligent document processing, and AI-assisted data quality create measurable operational lift, then build the business case, select the capability, and lead adoption. Set the guardrails for responsible use in core business processes, and partner with Data, AI & Analytics on shared platforms and standards.

•  Delivery practice and continuous improvement. Lead lean portfolio management and agile delivery in collaboration with Architecture & Engineering. Lead application managed services and delivery-partner performance, and build continuous improvement into run operations.

Minimum requirements
•  12+ years in enterprise applications and SAP program leadership; S/4HANA strongly preferred.
•  Led a business transformation anchored on an ERP turnaround in a distribution or
supply-chain-intensive business.
•  Hands-on master data remediation and governance across customer, vendor, and material.
•  Proven management of delivery partners and application managed services, including SI’s.
•  A trusted-partner track record with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, with outcomes owned jointly with those leaders.
•  Working knowledge of order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report processes; pricing and EDI experience preferred. Continuous improvement and agile delivery experience preferred.
•  Demonstrated experience putting AI or intelligent automation into a real business process, including agentic AI, document or order automation, or AI-assisted data quality. Proven success implementing AI into production and driven adoption.

Measures of success
Achievement of enterprise breakthrough objectives including supply chain transformation, growth, and profitability; Post-hypercare SAP stability (incident volume and aging, system availability); master data quality trend against remediation targets across customer, vendor, and material domains; on-time, on-budget release delivery with measured adoption; documented operations and finance outcomes (order cycle time, inventory accuracy, touchless order percentage, close cycle, cost-to-serve); business partner confidence in intake through delivery; delivery-partner cost and performance against service levels; AI and intelligent automation adoption, including processes
automated, touchless throughput gained, and hours returned to the business.

Leadership expectations
•  Competencies. Plans and aligns; ensures accountability; collaborates; delivers results.
•  Experiences. SAP turnaround in distribution; master data remediation; delivery-partner
management.
•  Traits. Disciplined, persistent, steady, partner-minded.
•  Drivers. Structure; challenge; collaboration.
