We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Engineering Director to lead our engineering organization, advance innovation, and help position Angelus as a leader in aerospace and defense interconnect solutions. Reporting to the President, this leader will combine technical vision, operational discipline, and people leadership to build a high-performing engineering function. What You’ll Do Define and execute long-term engineering strategy, technology roadmaps, annual priorities, and new-product-development initiatives aligned with company and customer needs. Lead and develop a high-performing engineering organization through effective hiring, coaching, performance management, and leadership development. Drive innovation and technical excellence by guiding technology, materials, design, and engineering methods that deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. Establish KPIs, manage the engineering budget and resources, and champion continuous-improvement initiatives that strengthen execution and efficiency. Partner with Sales, Operations, Quality, Finance, customers, suppliers, and external engineering resources to solve technical challenges and support business goals. QualificationsWhat You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management preferred. 12+ years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in aerospace and defense interconnects or a comparable regulated manufacturing environment. 4+ years of experience leading and developing engineering leaders and technical teams. Demonstrated success leading engineering transformation, innovation, New Product Development, and structured continuous-improvement initiatives.
