Job DetailsJob Location: Pharr - 2nd Floor - Pharr, TX 78577JOB SUMMARY   The Quality Control Specialist I is an enthusiastic, highly motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic who performs new account documentation reviews to make sure the account styling and account documentation are in compliance with federal laws and regulations and state laws.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES   The duties listed below may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform. Incumbent may be required to perform other related duties, as assigned, including cross training across other departments, as necessary.   Provides support and guidance to the banking center staff at all levels (regarding routine and complex new accounts questions and business account documentation requirements Performs new and revised account documentation reviews to make sure the account styling and account documentation are in compliance with documentation requirements Performs corrections and updates at the account and CIF level Records QCD CIF/Account Incidents in 360View Reviews Debit Cards orders and assists with debit card tracking and delivery Verifies CD interest checks are issued and uploaded correctly into the Bank’s core SilverLake processing system Verifies Debit Card Applications Reviews Opening Act (online) accounts and contacts customers as necessary Participates in job specific training and other various Bank training programs, as necessary Maintains current knowledge of internal risk controls and loss prevention, including reporting of suspicious or unusual customer activity per Bank policy Maintains current knowledge and complies with all federal and state laws and regulations and all established Bank policies and procedures, including internal audit controls related to department operations Maintains current knowledge of all rules, regulations, and laws as they apply to BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act/CIP/AML Perform other related duties as assigned     QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS   These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.   High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree is preferred) One year of prior banking experience with New Accounts (two years is preferred) Knowledge of JHA SilverLake is preferred Good verbal and written communication, organizational and customer relations skills Attention to detail and mental concentration for accurately performing tasks and handling frequent interruptions Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information and compliance with privacy laws Strong computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing software Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and occasional Saturdays Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired     ORGANIZATION   This position reports to the Quality Control Supervisor This position does not oversee other positions     TRAINING REQUIREMENTS   All employees are required to attend scheduled mandatory trainings and complete online regulatory compliance training courses applicable to their specific job function.
