Job Description:

We are looking for a full-time Attorney for our federal court litigation practice. We assist clients by challenging delayed or denied petitions for immigration benefits in the federal courts and participate in impact litigation applying administrative law principles to immigration regulations. We also handle specific removal cases before immigration courts, normally involving highly complex issues for investors. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in federal court practice and a strong background in administrative law principles. Candidates with litigation experience on behalf of the federal government are welcome.

This position will report directly to the Chairman of the firm.

This position is open to fully remote or hybrid work in the Washington, DC, Philadelphia or New York offices.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Review administrative records of proceeding to develop legal basis for challenges to adverse agency decisions
  • Provide legal research and analysis on immigration issues in federal court
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for filing with federal courts
  • Prepare and conduct arguments before federal judges
  • Represent clients in complex removal proceedings involving investment-based migration
  • Present on federal court litigation options to internal and external audiences
  • Work closely with the firm’s marketing manager on marketing and business development efforts
  • Develop expert level understanding of your client base and administrative law principles as applied to immigration
  • Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information and support client projects.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural issues and case processing


Qualifications:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Bar admission
  • 5 years of experience in federal court practice and a strong background in administrative law principles
  • Candidates with litigation experience on behalf of the federal government are welcome.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a client-friendly focus
  • Willingness to learn and take on added responsibilities
  • Ability to show initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Travel to Philadelphia office required two times per year.
  • Willingness to attend networking conferences and travel for business development opportunities as needed
