The Opportunity

An established international EHS consultancy is seeking an EHS Associate / Junior EHS Specialist to join its growing US team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or with 1-2 years experience in a EHS professional looking to develop a career in Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene and Risk Management.

There will be full training provided and mentoring before progressing onto client projects, site assessments and technical consultancy work.

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out workplace EHS, risk and exposure assessments.
  • Support occupational hygiene monitoring for chemicals, dust, noise, vibration, heat stress and ergonomics.
  • Conduct site inspections and workplace walk-throughs.
  • Use specialist sampling and monitoring equipment following training.
  • Prepare clear technical reports and recommendations.
  • Support EHS audits, training and client projects.
  • Work closely with experienced EHS consultants and Project Managers.
  • Manage multiple projects and build your knowledge of EHS legislation and best practice.

Around 60% of the role is site-based, with the remainder split between home working and project work.

What We're Looking For:

  • Level 8 degree in Science, Engineering, EHS, Occupational Health & Safety or a related subject, or 1–2 years' relevant experience.
  • Genuine interest in building a career in EHS consultancy.
  • Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Full driving licence – essential.
  • Comfortable travelling to different sites.

Experience in EHS, occupational hygiene, safety, environmental, pharmaceutical, manufacturing or industrial environments, or exposure to auditing and workplace monitoring.

Training & Progression

You'll receive 3–4 months of structured training and mentoring to get you up to speed. As you gain experience, you'll have the opportunity to move into EHS auditing, occupational hygiene, advanced assessments and specialist consultancy.
