Junior Site Supervisor – Commercial Construction
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Junior Site Supervisor to oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership position focused primarily on managing and coordinating employees, subcontractors, materials, and jobsite activities rather than working full-time as a tradesperson.
The ideal candidate will have commercial construction experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to keep multiple trades organized and projects moving safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise employees, subcontractors, and daily jobsite activities
- Conduct morning safety meetings and assign daily tasks
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and site access
- Review construction drawings, scopes, specifications, and project requirements
- Maintain and communicate a 2-week lookahead schedule
- Plan and prepare for upcoming work and the following day's activities
- Ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available when needed
- Coordinate multiple trades to maintain efficient workflow and proper sequencing
- Monitor workmanship and address quality issues before they result in rework
- Maintain daily progress, safety, and quality documentation, including jobsite photos
- Provide accurate daily progress reports and updates to the Project Manager
- Identify potential delays, conflicts, and jobsite issues and communicate them promptly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant jobsite
- Enforce company safety policies and project-specific procedures
- Help ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards
- Support the Project Manager with field coordination and project execution
- Perform other site supervision duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Commercial construction supervisory experience required
- Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Superintendent, Construction Supervisor, Foreman, or similar leadership role
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, scopes, and specifications
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and jobsite operations
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to identify and resolve jobsite issues quickly and effectively
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Comfortable working in active commercial construction environments
