Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Perimeter Monitor in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a welcoming educational environment through routine bicycle and foot patrols, visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responsive customer service. You will communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors while reporting concerns and supporting campus operations. Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other members of the campus community by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and surrounding property to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through established reporting channels.
• Assist with directions, escorts, and general information while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Preferred: Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time.
• Preferred: Be able to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
