GCE is seeking a full-time Clinical Site/Preceptor Representative to work within a defined territory to develop and maintain a sustainable pipeline of sites and preceptors for GCU nursing students to achieve clinical practicum hours.

The Clinical Site/Preceptor Representative serves as the point of contact and liaison for all clinical sites utilized by the University, responsible for establishing and securing the clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of the nursing programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Works a defined territory to be determined based on the needs of College of Nursing students.
  • Territory will include both established accounts with a goal to deepen relationships and new site development.
  • Meets or exceeds target activity levels to ensure successful territory development
  • Maintains records of site development activities which includes calling strategies, initial appointments, and on-site meetings (depending on location).
  • Obtains and executes new clinical site affiliation agreements and is responsible to ensure all established sites within assigned territory have active agreements on file.
  • Collaborates with the College of Nursing and Health Care Professions and Field Experience staff, faculty, and community partners to ensure clinical site compliance.
  • Organizes and manages required preceptor, student and faculty training events.
  • Increases partnerships/contracts with rural, private, community and hospital-based clinics with an emphasis on the uninsured and under-served populations as included in territory plan.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or allied health care or health sciences discipline preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Must have own vehicle, valid driver's license, clean driving record.
  • Ability to develop business relationships with health care professionals.
  • Exemplary communication skills, including verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with strong constituency building skill.
  • Action and results oriented, self-starter, self-directed and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial quality. Must be able and willing to work without daily oversight.
  • Good negotiation and persuasiveness skills.
  • Experience with contract negotiation and understanding of clinical compliance preferred.
  • Must be a strong player with excellent planning and organizational skills in order to meet or exceed enrollment projections and expectations.
  • Confident, high energy and capable of launching new territories successfully, if necessary.
  • Knowledge of higher-learning environments and programs.
  • Computer/office software proficiency including MS Office Suite.
  • Cannot be delinquent or in default on a federal student loan as verified in your credit report.  If in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
