A Day in the Life:

In the position of Quality Supervisor, you will lead daily quality operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring all products meet stringent food safety, regulatory, and company standards. Work closely with management to implement and maintain quality systems, provide leadership, and direction to the department Technicians, Batchers and direct reports. 

The Impact You'll Make:

  • Supervise, train, mentor, and schedule Quality Assurance (QA) technicians and batchers. Deliver supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures and applicable law.
  • Confirm adherence to required food safety laws, regulations, corporate policies and practices. Ensure the quality lab  is clean and organized, conduct monthly inventory of lab supplies and inform management of any needs. Oversee testing, inspection, and sampling of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods. Perform daily water treatment testing activities.
  • Monitor production for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)/Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Controls (HARPC), Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000, customer requirements, and company QC and QA requirements. Ensures all personnel are following and maintaining Food Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Review documentation associated with food safety and quality for accuracy and completion (i.e., Batch Sheets, Line and Lab Control Reports / Microbiological Results, High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) Results, Sweetener Receiving Worksheets and Calibration Records)
  • Manage the material hold programs (release/nonconforming material destruction process). Ensure lab equipment calibration and maintain testing supplies. Ensure proper retain samples have been collected for each production run.
  • Lead root cause investigations and manage Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA), rood cause analysis (RCA) incidents and confidentially assign stakeholders.
  • Report quality metrics and support the Quality Manager. Scan and send all required documentation, package and ship required samples to MECQC or other corporate entities. Support the facility in managing quality programs, such as pest control, GMP, calibrations, etc.
  • Deliver training on GMP, HACCP, quality standards, and safety. Ensuring all personnel are maintaining a safe work environment and following proper personal protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Manage performance and foster a positive work environment. Demonstrate active collaboration with cross departmental teams, serving as a liaison between QA , Operations, Planning and Maintenance. Conducting oneself with professionalism.

Who You Are:

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of --Food Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in food, beverage manufacturing.
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in leadership position
  • Computer Skills Desired: SAP, Quality Data Software, Excel
  • Preferred Certifications: Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) 
    certification preferred
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: N/A

Pay Range
$60,720—$80,960 USD
