Job Summary:

Keeping a complex nuclear facility safe, reliable, and ready to perform takes strong leadership and a team that knows how to get the job done. As the Maintenance Work Center Supervisor, you’ll lead the people and priorities behind that mission—overseeing maintenance activities that keep centrifuges, equipment, systems, and facilities operating safely and reliably.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll lead Maintenance Shift Supervisors and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across the plant. You’ll work closely with Operations and other site teams to prioritize work, maintain schedule discipline, ensure qualified resources are available, and uphold Centrus’s high standards for safety, quality, security, and procedural compliance. You’ll also have the authority to stop work or shut down activities when conditions warrant—and the responsibility to ensure operations are ready to safely restart.

What You Will Do:

Lead day-to-day maintenance activities by assigning and directing qualified personnel, coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, and ensuring work is performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures. Manage work control and integrated scheduling, coordinate maintenance and construction activities, issue work permits, review change evaluations and test plans, maintain accurate logs and records, inspect work areas, and resolve identified deficiencies. Train and coach employees on maintenance procedures and safety, quality, environmental, and security requirements while ensuring the right people, materials, equipment, and documentation are in place to support safe and reliable plant operations.

We’d Love to Hear from People With:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of industrial, chemical, nuclear plant operations, maintenance, engineering, or support experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience or successful completion of a supervisory training course
  • Experience working in an environment where safety, quality, security, environmental compliance, and procedural adherence are critical
  • Ability to lead, direct, and coordinate maintenance personnel and work activities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, document work clearly, and make sound decisions in normal, off-normal, and emergency conditions
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance

A Successful Candidate Brings:

  • Experience maintaining centrifuges or complex industrial processing equipment
  • Experience with electrical equipment, electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and controls, computerized instrumentation and control systems, programmable controllers, or mechanical equipment
  • Experience with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
  • Experience with work control, maintenance planning, integrated scheduling, and prioritization of maintenance activities
  • Experience developing or validating maintenance procedures, test plans, or training materials
  • Experience working in a nuclear, chemical, industrial, or similarly highly regulated operating environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing maintenance workforce
  • Active  “Q” or Top Secret Clearance
