Job DetailsJob Location: Atlanta - Doralville, GA 30340Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 Salary/yearJob Shift: DayOverview of Position The Assistant Manager is a key role responsible for supporting the successful operation of the branch.  The Assistant Manager will serve as the General Manager’s primary partner and will take ownership of Fresh Buying. This role will also support a positive employee-owner culture by supporting the ESOP representative in engagement activities. Leadership & Business Partnership Partner with the General Manager in the oversight of all aspects of the Branch including performance, customer experience, operational execution, and financial results. Serve as a leader-on-duty and provide management coverage in the absence of the General Manager. Participate in business planning, budgeting, inventory management and monitoring ongoing branch performance. Lead by example in fostering a culture of teamwork, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Contribute to site specific and broader projects and initiatives that build leadership capability and operational excellence.   Key Responsibilities: Partner with Central Purchasing and department leaders to support effective purchasing, replenishment, and inventory planning. Oversee inventory accuracy, utilizing the best care & handling procedures to maximize freshness and reduce dump. Monitor product movement, identify opportunities for improved turns. Support department managers in maintaining product in line with predicted customer demand. Ability to lead teams, influence outcomes, and drive accountability Strong communication and relationship-building skills Business acumen in sales, operations, or inventory management Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office and company systems Ability to travel periodically and lift up to 25 pound Education & Experience Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, logistics, inventory, or management Demonstrated ability to accept responsibility and drive results Floral experience a plus
