CNC Repair Mechanic job overview:
The Service Technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining complex CNC machinery and mechanical / electrical equipment for manufacturing medical and firearm components. He ensures maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
CNC Repair Mechanic Essential Duties and responsibilities:
- Must be able to change ball screws, guide rails, and align spindles using indicators.
- Trouble shoot issues & perform all repair, modifications, adjustments, and preventive/predictive and routine maintenance on production equipment- CNC machines (i.e., Tornos Deco2000)
- Troubleshoot issues and repair failures of production equipment. Electrical Repairs and / or replacement of control devices, including circuit boards and memory devices Assist Operation with analyzing deviations and definition of machine related corrective actions.
- Initiate repairs and modifications as a function of Continuous Improvement and process stability (e.g., 5S and Preventive Maintenance).
- Control spare parts inventory stock Support all aspects of building maintenance/routine shop preventive maintenance as needed. Monitor and maintain environmental, health and safety equipment and systems for both production and non-production equipment as directed.
CNC Repair Mechanic Education and skills Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or similar 2-year technical degree in a related field preferred not required. 5+ years field knowledge as a multi-craft technician in the following fields: CNC Repair, Mechanics, Industrial Electrical systems, Electronics, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and PLC. Strong repair background.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings (e.g., blueprints, manuals, wiring diagrams etc.)
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand for several hours.
- Ability to lift 50lbs.
