The Product Owner is a pivotal member of the Scrum team or squad, responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the development team. Acting as the voice of the customer and stakeholders, the Product Owner bridges the gap between businessĀ objectivesĀ and technical execution, ensuring that the final product aligns with organizational goals and user needs.Ā Ā
The Product Owner plays a critical role in the success of a Scrum squad by championing the product vision, maximizing value delivery, and fostering strong collaboration between business and technology teams.Ā Ā Ā
As a member of the Retail Technology Solutions team, the Scrum Product Owner will serve as the subject matter expert with our customers and the assigned product or product areas.Ā

How You Will Contribute:āÆāÆĀ
Own, create, andāÆmaintaināÆthe product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and understood by all team members.Ā Ā
Prioritize backlog items based on business value, customer needs, and feedback.āÆĀ Ā Ā
Knows the business results to be achieved and collaborates with technical resources to research and recommend solutions based upon the business case.Ā Ā
Clearly define user stories and acceptance criteria, providing sufficient detail to guide development.Ā Ā
Continuously refine and elaborate backlog items as needed.āÆĀ Ā
Actively engages with Scrum squad to clarify features, reduce ambiguity and remove blockers to keep delivery moving.Ā Ā
ActivelyĀ participateĀ in Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Demonstrations, and Sprint Retrospectives.Ā Ā
RepresentsĀ the empoweredĀ decisionmakerĀ for the squad, providingĀ timelyĀ decisions thatĀ maintainĀ momentum and reduce uncertainty.Ā Ā
Inspect deliverables at the end of each sprint, accept or reject work based on predefined acceptance criteria, and provide constructive feedback.āÆĀ Ā
Represent customer needs within the squad, ensuring solutions deliver meaningful value to both customers and the business.Ā Ā
ParticipateĀ in Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective) and collaborate with the team toĀ identifyĀ opportunities for process and product improvement.āÆĀ
Tracks sprint-level KPIs to assess progress,Ā deliveryĀ healthĀ and value realization.Ā
Ā
Licenses & Certifications:āÆāÆĀ
āÆCSPO, PMI-ACP, or PSPO orĀ appropriate certification.Ā
Ā
Skills & Experience to be Successful:āÆĀ
āÆBachelorās degree in computer science or equivalent experience.Ā
3-5 years of experience in customer service, technical support application support, or insuranceĀ
Strong communicationĀ and interpersonal skills.Ā
Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a dynamic environment.Ā Ā
Understanding ofĀ Agile principles and Scrum framework.Ā
Experience with product management or business analysis.Ā
Customer-focused mindset and problem-solving abilities.Ā
Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps).Ā
Preferred:Ā Ā
Intermediate knowledge of CRM software (Dynamics, Salesforce).Ā
Intermediate knowledge of ITIL,Ā AgileĀ and Scrum frameworks.Ā
Intermediate knowledge of the insurance industry.Ā
Experience in supportingĀ a varietyĀ of business applications in a production environment.
Pay Range
$110,000 - $110,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
