Job Purpose

The Servicing Associate, Loan Administration, oversees monthly processing for a bridge loan portfolio, including CLO and REPO investments. This role ensures monthly payments, postings, and pre-payment-date research are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with Investor Reporting, Asset Management, servicing requirements, and internal controls. Due to tight deadlines, the candidate may need to work more than 40 hours during one week each month until the legacy portfolios have fully run off.

As a key member of the Loan Administration team, this position supports platform growth by building scalable posting processes, identifying automation and process-improvement opportunities, and maintaining high standards for accuracy, efficiency, and operational excellence. The role works closely with Investor Reporting, Asset Management, Treasury, and Technology to resolve issues, protect data integrity, and implement enhancements.

Working within a team of 8–10 servicing professionals, the Loan Administration Associate helps ensure NewPoint Real Estate Capital complies with investor guidelines, servicing agreements, loan documents, and service-level agreements. This role partners with the Managing Director, Loan Administration, to optimize technology, implement best practices, and consistently meet key performance indicators.


Duties and responsibilities

  • Prepare and send monthly billing statements.
  • Process incoming payments, reconcile discrepancies between amounts due and received, monitor lockboxes, review clearing accounts, and process daily wires to resolve reconciliation items.
  • Process payoff transactions.
  • Reclass reserve funds related to fundings and waterfall processing.
  • Key disbursement, OpEx, mezzanine payment, and other required wires under tight deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures while identifying opportunities to improve existing processes.
  • Complete all required training on time.
  • Support consistent compliance with key performance indicators.
  • Participate in servicing projects as needed.
  • Process disbursements accurately and on time.
  • Review loan and closing documents for new loans, set up loans in the servicing system, and generate welcome letters.
  • Update servicing systems for changes in loan structure, including assumptions, modifications, borrowers, and collateral.
  • Monitor rate cap agreements, letters of credit, UCCs, reserves, and escrows.
  • Research and resolve borrower questions and issues.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of commercial mortgage servicing in a cross-functional team environment, including:
  • Loan closing, boarding, billing, and collections
  • Loan documents and document management
  • Letters of credit, reserves, UCCs, and liens
  • Maturing loans and payoffs
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, responsive, and committed to excellent customer service
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational awareness
  • BBA in Finance, Real Estate, or Accounting preferred; MBA a plus
  • 3+ years of loan servicing experience, including at least 2 years in commercial real estate loan servicing for multiple capital sources or investors
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate finance, including loan types, property types, and real estate lenders
  • MBA CCMS Level I and/or II certification a plus
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise! or a similar large-scale servicing system
  • Medium to advanced Microsoft Office skills, with experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflow automation
