Senior Site Merchandiser - HBCO e Commerce (Corporate)

About The Role

This position is responsible for owning the strategy through execution for growth for the Happy Beauty Co. (HBCo) website launching in Fall of 2026 across desktop, mobile, and app. You will own the relationship with the HBCo partners across multiple departments in efforts to drive assortment strategy, conversion driving efforts, promotions/events, and profitability analytics. The goal being to identify, recommend, and execute strategies to achieve ecomm KPI goals. This position will analyze and leverage customer information and behaviors to prioritize the most critical actions necessary to improve the customer journey/shopping experience. Ultimately these improvements will result in improved customer and associate satisfaction, increased traffic and sales, and improved conversion.

This role will report to Sr. Director eCommerce (Sally Beauty).

Responsibilities

  • Translates the in-store merchandising and marketing experience and builds overall e-Commerce strategy and incorporates into the online experience, including the visual display of the home page, category pages, brand pages, and taxonomy, navigation, and search experience. Define timely and relevant merchandising strategy by leveraging product performance reporting, industry expertise, and trend awareness coupled with insights and recommendations from Sr. Director and partners.
  • Responsible for ensuring all SKU's are set up accurately with a “complete" status for online in HBCo, within slated time frames, including naming convention, product attributes, product categorization, key words, SEO Support. 
  • Recaps performance, presents findings in leadership meetings, and recommends changes to online strategies to leadership on weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis based on results of site analytics & category reviews / results.
  • Future state could include managing and developing a Site Merchandiser to ensure all product-related pages are optimized and correct. Coach Site Merchandiser on their category’s merchandise strategy including visual display of their category pages. Analyzing and sharing insights from campaigns (i.e. hindsight/postmortem) and applying learnings to future events and end-to-end experiences.
  • Proof on-going site content and marketing campaigns to optimize customer journey and conversion. Participate in marketing brief process to ensure category objectives are being met.
  • Execute online promotions (if applicable) across various digital platforms. Assist in the planning and execution of promotional events and partnerships that enhance online visibility.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years related ecommerce experience with a multi-channel retailer
  • Salesforce, Excel, Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics
  • This position requires the individual to have excellent attention to detail and be customer-centric oriented as well as interactive both within the department as well as cross-functional with Merchandising, Marketing, Digital, P&A.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to work independently and be resourceful to solve problems and create strategies.

  • Experience with A/B testing concepts
  • Able to quickly learn necessary technical tools

 

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

The work may require some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking; recurring bending, crouching, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc.  The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
