Hull and CompanyĀ is seekingĀ anĀ Underwriting AssistantĀ to join our growing team inĀ Dallas, TX!   

    

Under guidance of the Internal Operations Leader, individual whose primary responsibilities include carrying out direction of underwriting assistant functions to provide support and integrity of underwriting practices.Ā 

Ā 

How You Will Contribute:   

  • Assists the Account Executive when underwriting or brokering risks, ensuring that all required information is obtained, proper applications are completed, quotes & binders are confirmed in writing, policies are issued promptly and accurately, state filings (where applicable) are made and taxes paid in accordance with appropriate state laws.Ā 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by members of management orĀ deemedĀ necessary to completeĀ the aboveĀ duties.Ā 

  • Process mail received by USPS, Email, or fax.Ā 

  • Handle correspondence with company / producers with Account Executive supervisor as needed.Ā 

  • ProcessĀ accordinglyĀ all brokerage and contract endorsements.Ā 

  • Follow up for suspense items on applications, subject to,Ā inspections,Ā etc.Ā 

  • Request Loss Runs for years written with office.Ā 

  • Order and follow up for inspections.Ā 

  • Review and have letters for renewals processed.Ā 

  • Communicate with producers, Company representatives, inspection companies, and finance companies to insureĀ expeditiousĀ handling of all submission.Ā 

  • Confirm that the coding of specific required forms is completed and utilized.Ā Ā Ensure the templates are updated forĀ processingĀ policies/coverage.Ā 

  • Assists the Account Executives when reviewing,Ā analyzingĀ and underwriting riskĀ submittedĀ by producers, rate submissions for premium and terms analyze exposures for quotes for new and renewal business, issue written indications,Ā quotesĀ and binders.Ā

Licenses and Certifications:    

  •     License General Lines.Ā 

Ā 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:Ā Ā 

  • MinimumĀ educationĀ high school or GED.Ā 

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.Ā 

  • Exceptional telephoneĀ demeanor.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ maintainĀ a high levelĀ of confidentiality.Ā 

  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position minimum (preferred).Ā
