Medication Aide

Medication Aide – Senior Living

Location: Pleasant Hill, CA

Schedule: Full Time, AM Shift 6:00am – 2:00pm, may include weekends

Pay Range: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour

Memory Care of Conta Costa is seeking a Medication Aide to join our team of dedicated professionals who want to make a difference in the lives of our residents, their families and our community.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents who need assistance in accordance with state regulatory stipulations and requirements for safe administration.
• Observe the resident taking the medication, notes effects including any unexpected or adverse effects.
• Document the required information in the residents’ medication administration records.
• Communicate any concerns or observations with the Wellness Director, Wellness Coordinator or designated personnel.
• Support residents with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, socialization, cognition, and physical health.
• Encourage resident independence, support resident choice and preserve resident dignity through professional conduct and interactions.
• Maintain up-to-date medication certification requirements according to state regulations.
• Interact with residents in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

Job Requirements

• 18+ Years of Age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain
• Prior direct care experience preferred
• Successful completion of medication assistance training in compliance with the state’s regulatory requirements and facility requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Self-supervising, self-motivating; willing to collaborate and work as a team member.
• Adaptable and flexible; highly organized with ability to manage multiple demands/tasks concurrently. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
