CDL A Field Support Driver - Full Time

Bob Smith Plumbing has served South Florida for more than four decades. We're hiring a CDL A Driver who does more than drive. This role operates our CDL-required vehicles, including the hydro-excavation truck, roll-off truck, and equipment trailers, and works directly on job sites as part of the field crew when not behind the wheel.

This is a dual-function role. You're a driver and a field technician, not one or the other.

•      Safely operate all CDL-required vehicles per DOT regulations, including the hydro-excavation truck, roll-off truck, and equipment trailers.

•      Transport equipment, materials, and crew to and from job sites per dispatch schedule.

•      Conduct DOT-compliant pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and log them daily in Service Titan.

•      Comply with all DOT hours-of-service regulations at all times.

•      Work alongside the field crew on active job sites: setup, material handling, and equipment staging.

•      Handle material delivery, unloading, and organization on site.

•      Support site cleanup and securing equipment at the end of every shift.

•      Return vehicles clean, fueled, and ready for next dispatch.

•      Report vehicle incidents, damage, or mechanical issues immediately.

•      Valid Class A CDL.

•      1+ years of Class A CDL driving experience.

•      Manual transmission and roll-off truck experience preferred.

•      Current DOT medical certificate, or ability to obtain one before start date.

•      Clean driving record. MVR check required.

•      Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

•      Willing to work hands-on as a field technician, not just drive.

•      Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

•      Lift and carry up to 100 pounds.

•      Bend, kneel, crawl, and climb to work in tight spaces.

•      Load, unload, and stage heavy equipment and materials.

•      Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

•      Consistent full-time hours with a stable, established company.

•      Hands-on field experience across driving and technician work.
