As a Unit Manager (RN), you'll provide clinical leadership for a Skilled Nursing unit while supporting care operations across our Health Services community. In this role, you'll lead a team of dedicated caregivers, coordinate resident care, support quality initiatives, and serve as a trusted resource for residents, families, and staff. If you're a compassionate nurse with strong leadership abilities and a passion for excellence in senior care, we'd love to welcome you to our team.   Clinical Leadership & Resident Care Lead the day-to-day clinical operations of a Skilled Nursing unit serving up to 30 residents Coordinate resident care and ensure appropriate communication among residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members Monitor changes in resident condition and ensure prompt, appropriate clinical intervention Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and care transitions Support development and implementation of individualized care plans Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff Family Communication & Team Collaboration Partner with residents and families to ensure exceptional service and care experiences Foster positive relationships with physicians, therapists, pharmacy providers, and interdisciplinary teams Promote teamwork and effective communication across all departments Assist in resolving concerns and ensuring resident satisfaction Quality, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as facility policies and procedures Review documentation, physician orders, assessments, and progress notes for accuracy and completeness Monitor reports related to infection control, medication management, quality measures, and risk reduction Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and root cause analyses Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with leadership on solutions Staff Development & Support Support orientation, competency evaluations, and ongoing staff education Assist with clinical training and in-service programs Reinforce infection prevention practices, hand hygiene, PPE use, and safety standards Encourage professional growth and accountability among team members Need to Have SkillsWhat Makes You a Great Fit You are a natural leader who enjoys mentoring and supporting others You are passionate about resident-centered care and clinical excellence You excel at communication, organization, and problem-solving You thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment You remain calm and confident in challenging situations You enjoy balancing hands-on clinical involvement with leadership responsibilities   Must Have Skills Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license Current CPR certification Strong knowledge of long-term care, skilled nursing, and healthcare regulations Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities Proficiency with clinical documentation and electronic health records Nice to Have Skills Previous leadership or supervisory experience in Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, or Assisted Living Experience with infection prevention, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance Experience with staff education and mentoring Knowledge of quality measures and risk management programs   How You'll Grow Here In your first 12–24 months, you'll have opportunities to: Expand your leadership and management skills Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives Collaborate closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams Gain experience in operations, compliance, and clinical oversight Contribute to resident experience and care excellence initiatives Explore future advancement opportunities within Health Services leadership   ompensation & Benefits Competitive Salary – Based on experience and qualifications Additional Perks at Vicar's Landing Holiday bonus opportunities Scholarship and career advancement programs Free daily meals  Leadership development and continuing education opportunities Employee recognition programs Supportive and collaborative nursing leadership team Benefits Snapshot Health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan Generous paid time off Employee wellness resources A culture focused on compassion, teamwork, and excellence   Why Vicar's Landing?
