Overview

Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The campus has earned both a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade “A” and a CMS 5-Star Quality Rating and is known for its excellence in Maternal/Child Services, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Bariatric Surgery, and Emergency Care.

 

St. Charles Campus’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary ICU and Stroke Unit. The unit is a general ICU that includes critically ill cardiac, respiratory, septic, neurological, surgical, neurosurgical, orthopedic, and gynecology patients.


Job Details

Our ICU RNs:

 

  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients, including critical patients coming post-surgery.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Passion for Critical Care Nursing  
  • 1+ Years Critical Care RN experience required
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or currently enrolled in a BSN program
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) are required   


Salary Range

USD $63.56 - USD $63.56 /Hr.



This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
