Registered Nurse ( RN )

Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The Specialty Care Center is a multispecialty group practice within the St. Charles Campus, promoting the optimal care of adults and children with lifelong neurological and neuromuscular conditions, along with various other programs and services designed to provide quality healthcare and assistance to those living with complex medical conditions. Service areas include Orthopedics, Muscular dystrophy, Neurology including treatment of spasticity and Parkinson’s disease, Bariatrics, Suboxone (follow-up alcohol and drug rehabilitation), Pediatric development, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, and Concussion management.

Our Specialty Care Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will:

• Be responsible for nursing assessments, plan, interventions, and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Provide direct patient care to our patients in the specialty care clinic
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Plan and implement coordination of care for our clinic patients
• Handle patient messages and communicate effectively
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients through safety intervention, emotional support, and education.

What you'll bring: 

• 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Experience working in an outpatient or clinic setting as an RN preferred
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or currently enrolled in a BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
