The Medical Assistant is the first point of contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative duties in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative, operational, and customer support assignments. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

As a Medical Assistant, you will report to the Clinical Administrator and/or Center Administrator and work closely with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care and support efficient clinic operations. You will assist with patient intake, discuss symptoms, obtain vital signs, administer medications and vaccines (as permitted by certification), perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, and conduct diagnostic screenings. You will also prepare and maintain exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR). Success in this role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a patient-first mindset. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while helping ensure a positive experience for patients and providers.

Location: Miami Beach, Florida

Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM (Mondays-Fridays)

Required

  • Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB

Preferred

  • Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 1+ years MA experience
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
