We are seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to provide onsite support for Capsa Healthcare products. This position facilitates the installation and/or repair of product at customer locations while liaising with Capsa’s internal operations, engineering, and other internal teams on product-related support issues.  

 

This is a remote position located within the Western US Region; or possible hybrid if located near Portland, OR. 


As the Field Service Technician, you will contribute to the team by performing the following duties (other special projects may also be assigned):

  • Install, repair, maintain, refurbish, and upgrade Capsa products and software. 
  • Deploy, configure, test, and validate equipment at customer facilities. 
  • Use Capsa software platforms and other approved tools to monitor product performance, support remote diagnostics, and assist with troubleshooting. 
  • Coordinate product delivery and service logistics with customers, internal teams, and freight providers. 
  • Train customers and third-party service providers on product operation and maintenance. 
  • Develop and maintain technical work instructions and training materials. 
  • Deliver a positive customer experience while representing Capsa professionally. 
  • Document service activity and report trends involving projects, project assets and documentation, product performance, customer needs, and recurring field issues. 
  • Provide technical consultation and support to internal teams. 
  • Travel as required to support installations, service, and field projects. 
  • Participate in a predefined rotational on-call support schedule (if applicable). 
  • Complete trip reports, service records, and required operational reporting. 
  • Provide field feedback to Product Management and Engineering to support product improvements.

 

What we ask of you:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and 3+ years of field service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • Experience supporting technical products, preferably in healthcare or capital equipment environments.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, electronic, networking, software installation, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Windows, cloud-based monitoring, remote diagnostic platforms, databases, and connected-device technologies preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, presentation, and small-group training skills.
  • Strong organizational, project management, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications; ERP and CRM experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel frequently based on customer, territory, and project needs, including overnight domestic travel and occasional international travel. Travel may be up to 75%.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
