Responsibilities
- Model Customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer serviceÂ
- Â Maintain access control systemÂ
- Assist with key control and coordinate with facilities maintenance to verify proper maintenance of access pointsÂ
- Assist with the security of the corporate campus facility and grounds, including facilities under construction or remodelÂ
- Respond to individuals presenting security concernsÂ
- Investigate security related issues and concerns, including resolution and follow-upÂ
- Prepare security related reports and documentsÂ
- Collaborate with local authoritiesÂ
- Report and document unsafe conditionsÂ
- Investigate and document incidentsÂ
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationÂ
Qualifications
Minimum
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus 1+ years of security experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Ability to pass drug test
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work weekends on a regular basis
- Ability to work any shift
- Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
- Maintain confidentiality
- Accuracy/attention to detail
- Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
- Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes
- Valid driver's license
Desired
- Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
- BA/BS degree in criminal justice
- Retail security experience
- Law enforcement experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word
- Ability to continue education and training
