Oregon Regional Security Manager

Position Summary

The Oregon Regional Security Manager is responsible for overseeing regional security operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. This role combines field-based security responsibilities with management and leadership functions. The successful candidate will provide direct supervision of security personnel, support business development efforts, maintain client relationships, and ensure the effective execution of security operations across assigned locations.

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and the President of Security Services Northwest (SSNW).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operations Management

  • Oversee daily security operations and ensure contract requirements are met.
  • Organize, schedule, and supervise security personnel across assigned locations.
  • Maintain regular communication with client-designated points of contact.
  • Stand post and perform security officer duties as operational needs require.
  • Ensure all assigned properties and facilities are consistently patrolled and secured.
  • Respond promptly to operational directives and requests.
  • Participate in weekly supervisor meetings and regular meetings with the Operations Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Personnel Management

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding security personnel.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Provide coaching, corrective action, and disciplinary measures in accordance with company policies.
  • Support employee development through training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning to ensure adequate coverage.

Client Relations and Business Development

  • Participate in Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, pre-bid meetings, and contract acquisition efforts.
  • Meet with prospective and existing clients to assess needs and strengthen business relationships.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive image within the community and industry.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.

  Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Develop, review, and update Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Submit Post Orders for review and approval by company leadership.
  • Establish operational performance metrics and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Analyze procedures and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate operational changes, policies, and procedures effectively to staff and management.

Security Program Management

  • Evaluate and oversee security operations, training programs, investigations, emergency procedures, and life-safety protocols.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions, policy updates, and procedural improvements.
  • Support emergency response operations and new contract start-ups.
  • Ensure work environments are safe, secure, and compliant with company standards.
  • Coordinate operational efforts across multiple locations and departments.

Travel and Regional Support

  • Provide operational support in Oregon and neighboring states as required.
  • Travel to Washington and Alaska, including support for special events such as the Alaska Fair.
  • Assist with online recruiting, scheduling, and workforce management activities as needed.

  • Basic proficiency in navigating websites, scheduling systems, and online applications.
  • Flexibility and willingness to support operational needs at all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of combined security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Must have an Executive Manager's License.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of military or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be substituted.
