Daylight Schedule | Monday–Friday

 

Join Advantage Hospice in Pottsville, PA, as a Hospice Team Assistant and play a vital role in supporting patients and families during one of life’s most meaningful transitions. In this full-time daylight position, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers—coordinating admissions, ensuring compliance, and offering compassionate guidance every step of the way.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate hospice admissions and verify insurance eligibility
  • Communicate with providers, patients, and families with empathy and clarity
  • Support the Clinical Director with documentation, orders, and compliance tracking
  • Manage data entry and reporting to support team efficiency
  • Order DME, schedule transportation, and help maintain care coordination
  • Assist with IDG prep and other quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • A licensed healthcare professional or experienced medical office professional
  • 1–3 years of healthcare experience (hospice experience a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • A compassionate, patient-focused approach
